About us
Who we are
We present ourselves: We are Zuri and Edu, a couple of "rurbanitas" from Gasteiz (urbanites reconverted in rurals) settled in the Salty Valley since 2003. Trying to fulfill dreams, we opened our first Cottage "Madera y Sal" in 2014, in Salinas de Añana, and in the fall of 2018 we opened "Tierra y Madera" in Barrio.
We bought this house in 2015 completely in ruins, and little by little we have been building the house, with the only help of Edu's father and brother, and with great effort and dedication. We are very proud of the work done, and we invite you to come and discover it with us. You will stay "zur eta lur" (literally, earth and wood, but translated from Basque "stupefied")!
